Téma: Action in Interaction for Primary
Teaching methods in English teaching have been developing recently a lot changing teachers and students as well. Let’s keep both under a magnifying glass checking whose activity should be dominant and whose and what activity is expected in the lesson. Is it true that active students are more open and they tend to make quick progress? In this session we will identify some key areas and suggest some ways of carrying out various teaching techniques. Teachers also learn and get some activities for their teaching practice.

Téma: Zábavná angličtina – písničky, říkanky, aktivity
Vzdělávací a praktický seminář je určen pro učitele anglického jazyka na 1. stupni ZŠ a v MŠ. Je zaměřen na výuku angličtiny zábavnou formou. Seminář si klade za cíl představit aktivity spojené se poslechem a zpěvem písní a reprodukcí říkanek rozdělených do tématických okruhů (greetings, feelings, colours, numbers, animals, body, …). Účastníci si mohou aktivity vyzkoušet. Prezentované aktivity zatraktivňují výuku a dětem usnadní zafixování slovní zásoby, ustálených vazeb, fonetických jevů a gramatických struktur. Lze je běžně zařazovat do hodin bez ohledu na to, s jakou učebnicí učitel pracuje.
Účastníci získají pracovní listy, které jsou určeny k okamžitému použití v hodině.

Téma: Dictionaries in Young Learners´ Classes
Are you interested in how to cover RVP compulsory issue: „Introduction in to dictionary work“ in your young learners’ classes? Come and try various simple activities you can adopt even without a „real“ complex dictionary. All we need are Workbook Wordlists, creativity and colour pencils.

Where we come from and where we are going professionally As professional language teachers, its critical that we understand the history of our field - where we come from and where we are going professionally. This seminar provides an active, hands on exploration of the evolution of language teaching that has led us now to the methodology of the 21st century. We will explore how our understanding of language, language teaching, and language learning has evolved and where we, as language teachers, now stand in that evolution. Through classroom activities, discussion and games we will engage in the most current philosophy of language pedagogy and we will examine how this philosophy is present in the textbooks we use in our classrooms today.

Technology has been definitely changing our life bringing stronger generation conflict than ever before. A couple of years ago adult teachers were able to imagine themselves in a place of their students as their learning experience was similar. Current teachers find themselves in a more complicated situation because the world of present students didn’t exist in their childhood. They didn’t live on-line. We have to admit that the school is preparing children for the life in a world we don’t know much about. In this session we will identify some key areas and suggest some ways of carrying out teaching technologies for future in practical environment.
